The 54th Deadline: Passion

I always ask myself if I had to choose between money or passion, what would I ultimately decide upon when the chips were down?

On the one hand, it would be easy to say that money could buy you happiness, but sometimes I wonder about that. It certainly helps.

I would be lying to say that I wouldn’t mind some extra $ here and there. There are those moments where, yes, money would definitely just eat away a lot of stress.

Namely, well, bills. Bills are just a part of being an adult.

Now, conversely, passion is a tricky aspect… Yeah, it’s nice to pursue things because you like it. It’s nice to be able to do something because it makes you happy one way or another. But, sadly, passion doesn’t always lead to money. At least, a lot of money to write home about, anyway.

It sucks.

I think an ideal world would yield some method for everyone to have a bit of both. Unfortunately, that is an impossible reality. And, also, it goes against my belief that life is all about working hard for what you want (for most people, anyway).

You aren’t always going to have things fall into your lap, yet you are often encouraged to find tenacity. Utilize gumption. Believe to achieve, as they say.

Soul Charging

With all of that in mind, where do I go from here? What do I do to make sure my life keeps going forward?

Just go for it. You have to trust your gut, your heart, your instincts – whatever is whispering to your soul about what the “right” answer is for you. I will admit I have not been good to my own soul in many ways. At times, I feel like I am just so “empty” unless I seek that which will help me the most.
